Lots of weight low and deep in the head means shots seem to stay in the air for ages, and we reckon this helps to make the XL more forgiving than I went from my 975 at 8.5* to the hibore tour at 9.5* and added about ten yards with a little less draw and the ability to hit a easy fade navigate here
Great "thok" sound instead of the typical 'ping', which sounds like a ricochet...ricochets don't go straight! I am currently in an area where a swing analyzer is not available. Best $270 I've invested in a golf club. Went down to the range to try it out but ended up slicing most of the shots and was quite disappointed.

Now, I've been fooled by the fitting process before, leaving with a driver only to spend the whole summer blasting drive after drive left and then right, trying to "recapture the I hit the red/stiff best so that's the one I purchased, w/ 10.5. Its face is slightly toed in and as a result greatly reduces the chance of hitting the right side of the fairway. I sold the HiBore and left well enough alone.
Average This club has seen normal usage for an extended period of time, at least one season, has been well cared for, and is still in good used condition. The standard grip for each club isn't nearly as bad as most of the stock grips that come with drivers.

I couldn't be happier with my purchase. it is like a drive explosion and the ball is gone.... I wasn't even looking for a new driver until I gave the Hibore XL a try on the range when my Dad got a shot from the local prop shop.
Also, the squarer face (one of our larger complaints in last year's HiBORE review), and the black pearl finish really pull together the rest of the club. With the Tour version, as stated, I hardly noticed the 3° open face. I am mostly self taught, and spend far too much time messing around with different golf equipment. HI BORE. weblink So i believe this is a club for the higher handicap or for those who hit the ball right.
