For about 160 USD it's a quite worthy purchase. That's not exactly an explosive sound, but not necessarily a negative. Distance was average, with the rare zinger mixed in there. The hardest club for me to hit has always been my driver.
I think Cleveland's claim on off center hits is accurate. I also have the 400 9.5 with Aldila 65S, which has a more square face. I just received my 9.5 with stock stiff Fujikura. I've played this club with the 10.5 Fuji reg 55 shaft ....

So I temporarily changed my swing to fit what the driver seemed to want to do. And you could always wear an ear plug to keep the hearing in your clubside ear. I hit it a few times inside the room, it's definately loud but not ridiculous.., it has a nice solid ping to it. Please advice.
